Who we are
Under Our Tree is a family Christmas product built and operated by a small UK-based team. Our contact email is hello@underourtree.co.uk.
What we collect
We collect only what you give us: your email address (to create your account and send sign-in codes), your family name, your display name and any wish-list items or photos you add. We do not collect payment card data directly — card payments are processed by a third-party payment provider under their own privacy policy.
How we use it
We use your data to operate the product: authenticate you, run your family account, deliver the Gift Exchange, store Moments and send transactional emails (sign-in codes, family invitations). We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or any purpose beyond operating the service.
Who we share it with
We share your data with service providers who help us run the product (cloud hosting, authentication, email delivery). We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Your rights
You can request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data or deletion of your account at any time by emailing hello@underourtree.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority.
Security
Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Sign-in uses one-time codes rather than passwords. Family wish lists and Gift Exchange claims are access-controlled: the owner of a list can never see who has claimed items on it.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will notify you by email or by a notice in the product before the change takes effect.
